Support the Dedication of BGHS and BGJHS Cross Country

The Purple Striders Booster Club is asking our cross country team runners to solicit support from local individuals and businesses through donations in way of
a door prize for our upcoming Purple Striders 5k. The race will be held July 28, 2012 starting at Bowling Green High School. The door prizes are a nice incentive
for runners to participate in our race. Each business and or individual will be recognized at the awards ceremony. This race is a major fund raiser for our 2012 cross country season. The Purple Striders Booster Club and Cross Country teams greatly appreciate your generous support!
Race T-shirt Advertisement:
We will host our annual Purple Striders 5k Run on July 28th, 2O12. You may choose to be a sponsor and have your name or business name, logo or business
card printed on the back on the t-shirt. The cost is $50.

Trax Kora Race information

Here is a form with information about the Kora race hosted by Trax running. It is on Friday, June 29 and is a fun event that allows runners to race as a team competing in fun events. Last year we went and it was a great time. If you need more information contact the Trax store at 270-904-4348.

Place: Bowling Green High School, 1801 Rockingham Lane, Bowling Green, Ky.
Date: Saturday, July 28th 2012
Time: 6:30 AM – Registration (up until race time)
7:30 AM – 5K Run 20-24 50-54
8:00 AM – 2 mile walk (no jogging/running will be allowed)
8:30 AM – Awards
Entry Fee: $15.00 before July 24th
$18.00 Day of Race (Student/Cross Country runner $12)

Awards: All preregistered entrants will receive a colorful short sleeve T-shirt. Extra T-shirts will
be available on a first come, first-serve basis. Trophies will be given to the overall and master
winners (both male and female) in the 5K run and to the winners of the 2 mile walk. Medals/awards
will be given to the top three finishers in each age group in the 5K run and to the top five finishers
(male and female) in the 2 mile walk.

Note: The 2 mile walk will have the same start/finish line as the 5K, but it will only include one loop.
If you arrive after the 7:30 AM 5K start time, please use the first school driveway once you turn off
Westen onto Rockingham and come around behind the school building to avoid the race course and
blocked streets.
Hot Rods Hometown Champions
Jun 15th
Brittney Hansen and Trajon Hall at tonights Hot Rods baseball game. Honored for being hometown champions. Brittney for winning the 1600 and Trajon for winning the 800 at the KTCCCA middle school state track meet. Congrats.
