Good Evening everyone,  I have received several emails already concerning our Purple Striders Invitational Meet this Saturday Sept. 8th at Kereikas Park. Hopefully this email will give you all the info. you might need.  This is the only meet we are hosting this season so we need everyone’s help from the Jr High and High School, please.

The Race Schedule:
8:30 am- Middle School Girls 3k
9:00 am- Middle Schools Boys 3k
9:30 am- Varsity Girls 5k
10:00am- Varsity Boys 5k
10:30am- JV Girls-4k
11:00am- JV Boys-4K
11:30am- Elem Girls 2K
11:50am- Elem Boys 2K
Awards following last race

As you can see this is a morning event that lasts until around lunch time.  If you can not volunteer for the whole morning, we will take you for whatever time slot you can work.  We will not ask you to work at anytime that you have a child running a race.  You definitely need to be cheering them on.  As Coach Hamilton announced at the parent meeting, a parent is not allowed to run beside their child during the race.  This will disqualify your child.  Your child has been working hard all season long.  They need all of our support.

Parking Attendants: ( try to be at the park by 7:00am)
Brian Howard will direct the attendants.  We will have orange vests for you to wear. Brian says he will need everyone bet. 7-10:00am., that will be the busiest time.

*We need all Elementary and Jr High Parents to bring 1 case of water for all the runners that day and to sell at concessions.  You can drop them off at practice on Thursday or Friday at the park.
* We need all High School Parents to bring 1 case of  POWERADE(it must be powerade, BG city schools are a coca-cola company now) You can drop it off at practice on Thurs or Fri.
* We need to coolers on Saturday to keep concessions drinks that we sell cold.  If anyone has a cooler that you can bring please email me and bring it Saturday.
The High School Runners needs volunteers to bring drinks and snacks for our runners@27- I have Kanan Meredith and I need one more volunteer.
**Last call for High School Athletic Fees- which includes a sweatsuit and string bag, if you want a larger duffel bag it will be an additional 10.00.  DUE DATE tomorrow friday  
**Last call for any apparel to be ordered, the form was in the parent packet.  DUE DATE 9-7-12

I’m assuming the Coaches are telling your young people what they are running and what time they need to be at Kereikas to warm up and be ready on Sat.
