As you can see this is a morning event that lasts until around lunch time. If you can not volunteer for the whole morning, we will take you for whatever time slot you can work. We will not ask you to work at anytime that you have a child running a race. You definitely need to be cheering them on. As Coach Hamilton announced at the parent meeting, a parent is not allowed to run beside their child during the race. This will disqualify your child. Your child has been working hard all season long. They need all of our support.

During the summer and fall of 2012, The Bowling Green Purple Striders Booster Club is trying to
raise funds for event operation, race day T-shirts, and field equipment. We are soliciting
support from individuals and businesses through advertisement on a park fence sign and t-shirt
advertisement. Please consider sponsoring the BGHS and BGJHS Cross Country running teams
with your support.
Fence Park Signs -This is one of our most popular and visibly supportive advertisements.
These signs are approximately 5′x 6′ and can have any logo, artwork, or business card design
printed on them. These hang on the baseball field’s fence facing the cross country course at Kereiakes
Park where we host our home meets. All last year signs were lost due to a wind/thunderstorm
we had this spring. Please consider to have a new sign advertisement made for $200. Previous
signs have had a full year of advertisement to everyone who come to play baseball, tennis,
walk, run, or attend soccer practices.
Race T-Shirt Advertisement- We will host our annual Purple Striders Invitational
September 8th. You may choose to be a sponsor and have your name or business name, logo,
or business card printed on the back. The cost is S50.
Package Deal – lf you really want to show your support to all the kids
who’ve run and practiced so hard all summer, you can choose to do
both for $225.00!!

Last but not least we would like to thank our parents and runners for all the help that they give at this race and throughout the year!!
The Purple Striders Booster Club is asking our cross country team runners to solicit support from local individuals and businesses through donations in way of
a door prize for our upcoming Purple Striders 5k. The race will be held July 28, 2012 starting at Bowling Green High School. The door prizes are a nice incentive
for runners to participate in our race. Each business and or individual will be recognized at the awards ceremony. This race is a major fund raiser for our 2012 cross country season. The Purple Striders Booster Club and Cross Country teams greatly appreciate your generous support!
